BARISTA LIFE
Good Morning, Good Afternoon and Good Evening
here is:
That embodies comforting energy coffee shops have
I like upbeat or calm music with the buzzing of conversations
Of course the occasional sad song that makes you look out the window dramatically when it gets quiet all of a sudden
Some of you might know that I’ve been a barista for most of my jobs
I do enjoy coffee enough to do the same thing everyday
Which is usually closing, latest I ever get off is like 8pm
I don’t necessarily call myself a coffee expert but I know my way around it
The people too ;)
There’s something intriguing about meeting strangers and connecting briefly until the next interaction
I’m genuinely curious of others lives and what they are up to during the day
Like it’s 3pm on a Tuesday Karen, do you not work??
Of course I’ve come across the bitter and ill-mannered sums
Who knows what people feel or go through daily, so treating others with kindness is killer
I think all people really need is to feel heard, or given a positive little push sometimes
That’s not always the case though
There are people who want minimal interaction and some who can talk for ever
I’ll stand there and listen to you talk for hours, will I remember most of it yea, will I go out of my way to have that long an interaction next time?
not so much but, will do it if I have to for the job
It’s the hard truth
Serving the dark souls of no decaf I’ve met some really cool people,
some weirdos and some VERY particular people
We like what we like I get it but, you don’t have to watch me count 7 stevias for your black iced tea, or watch me steam milk for a cappuccino and proceed to tell me there’s too much foam
Don’t get me started on how many vanilla lattes I have to make on the daily
I don’t care if your latte is pretty enough to post, most y’all don’t pay attention to the actual coffee and drink straight sugar
I’ve come to value quality coffee, I’ve recently learned about air roasting and hopefully will be trained to do it myself.
Regularly I find myself cracked out on caffeine, a little too eager for conversation, and always hungry
I enjoy going to different places, trying, and learning new things
especially about food, here is a list of
My go to drinks based on the seasons

As far as off the shelf items I have a few I know by heart that satisfy me every time

I honestly only do it for *alcoholic beverages*
I wrote mostly about the drink and food aspect of being a barista
but to me that is what it’s about, food and drinks expanding your horizons
if you like a few things out of one thing and not sure about the other, or if it’s in a different form than the one before, you should still try it
here’s a small collection of some items I really enjoyed aesthetically and consumption wise
Thank you for reading!
I’ll get around to writing a full post on easy and cheap home recipes that I’ve been experimenting with recently
Lots of GF and Dairy free friendly meals
